Gear Up Checklist
-
Plan for a day in the sun.
-
Bring plenty of water it gets hot out there. A cooler with ice will be on board, and anything you may want for your beach daydrinks or food (alcohol included) is welcome in the cooler.
-
Dress for the weather and wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little wet. Hats are always helpful; bucket hats with a neckband work especially well for shade and for keeping your hat on during windy parts of the ride.
-
Put on sunscreen before you arrive and bring extra to reapply. Bug spray can be useful, and fossil hunters may want a small bag to carry their finds.
-
Towels and dry bags are helpful for keeping personal items dry, and binoculars are great for spotting wildlife along the way.
